The woman who stunned the masses by being accused of cooking up a poisonous mushroom meal for her guests is now presenting her version of the story.
She claimed at first that she was innocent and would never engage in such actions. Moreover, she even went as far as to add how her children ate all the leftovers of the meal.
The Australian had invited her former in-laws for a great get-together and she was in charge of the cooking. Therefore, she ended up using poisonous mushrooms to produce her meal.
But all three of the guests ended up being killed and she was immediately taken into police custody and told to give her side of the story, where she continued to admit any form of wrongdoing, whatsoever.
Erin Patterson had reportedly served beef Wellington with a side of mushrooms. The latter happened to be the most poisonous kind that ends up killing you as it’s not fit for human consumption.
Just one day after the meal was served, all the guests were rushed to a nearby hospital and they were said to be suffering from gastro-like symptoms.
They were treated but in the end, they died despite getting top-of-the-line medical care and attention. Moreover, a statement by the police was sent out that spoke about her remaining as a suspect in the devastating case.
And that’s where she tried to prove her innocence by adding how her kids were also eating the leftovers and nothing happened to them.
But more reports on the matter went on to add how mushrooms had been scraped off the plates of youngsters because they do not like the vegetable and hence were only found indulging in the meat. And that’s why thankfully they were saved.
