A young woman who got pregnant with her first child when she was only 15 has sparked a lengthy debate after she said that she’s done having kids at the age of 19.
Tylar Fertuck from Canada took to TikTok and told her followers that even though she’s still young, she is already done having children.
“I got pregnant with Tessa when I was 15. I was 16 when she was born,” she said.
“Then I got pregnant with TJ when I was 17. And I was still 17 when he was born,” Fertuck continued.
“I was done having kids before I turned 18,” she added and danced in front of the camera.
Her video has been viewed more than 1.7 million times and left people divided.
One person said they wished they also did it at a young age, writing: “I wish I started a lot younger than I was when I became a dad. Don’t get me wrong, I love my daughters but I’m getting to old to keep up with them…”
Another wrote: “You’re gonna have great 30s.”
Others were not impressed, with one commenting: “Too young!”
Another said: “Meanwhile I’m 18 and haven’t even had my first kiss.”
When asked why she and her partner decided to have another baby, Fertuck cited two reasons.
“We wanted our kids to be close in age. Regardless of our age, our family started the second our first was born,” she said.
As for her second reason, the content creator said that she and her partner were ‘ready physically, mentally and financially.’
