A prep school in the state of Massachusetts has entered into a lockdown after shocking reports of an active shooter arose.
According to reports from local media outlets, the terrifying incident took place yesterday and sent parents and local authorities into a state of absolute panic and shock.
Security forces were seen rushing to the premises of the educational institute after the reports broke out in the media. But it was later determined to be a hoax, sources have now confirmed.
The school in question was identified as the Catholic St. John’s Prep in Danvers, Massachusetts which is famous in the vicinity. But little did parents know that a horrifying nightmare call would be made by the authorities regarding the school coming under a possible attack.
Long lines of police cars were seen making their way toward the premises of the educational institution. There were plenty of backup forces standing in line as well, followed by paramedics, and fire services too.
Then came parents who huddled in large numbers, worried about the well-being of their children. But thankfully, the cops could not find anything or anyone suspicious after conducting a full-on search over there.
Since the news broke, the authorities were seen releasing a statement in coordination with the school’s administration. They called the incident out as a false alarm or a hoax and were grateful that no one was harmed in this shocking ordeal.
While parents were requested not to come to the campus, they still flocked in huge numbers.
The school says it takes such behavior very seriously and would be conducting a thorough investigation regarding the matter.
They hoped parents and students would cooperate during this difficult time as they try and get to the bottom of the mystery that continues to instill a sense of fear and uncertainty in many parents’/guardians’ minds.
