A mother is revealing her absolute heartbreak after an incident tore her family apart.
According to reports from local media outlets, the mom named Nicole revealed how she and her two little kids were in South Africa for a family vacation but little did they know that it was doomed to begin with.
The trio came into contact with a charging giraffe. And that animal not only ended up killing her precious baby girl but also injuring the mother to a massive extent.
The mom says she is now paralyzed from the waist downwards but she happened to be holding her one-year-old daughter during the incident who ended up dying in her arms due to the horrifying and tragic attack.
Nicole’s four-year-old son was also severely injured and left with intense skull fractures but he still managed to survive, she explained.
The exact location of the incident was identified to be the Kuleni Game Park in South Africa. It’s a place that attracts a lot of tourists over the year but an incident of this kind has never ever taken place. Meanwhile, even witnesses claim they were appalled at the ordeal.
Others were mortified about how a giraffe who many deem to be a peaceful animal could engage in such behavior. The mother recalled how her daughter was in her arms and she thought she was protecting her but it so happened that the way he charged toward her, it just slammed into the baby’s body, causing her intense and critical injuries.
The mother of two mentioned how the giraffe came charging toward her and her kids in a matter of seconds so she had limited time to escape.
She feels the mother giraffe felt endangered about her young and so that’s why ended up displaying such behavior.
