Britney Spears has finally broken her silence after reports that her husband, Sam Asghari, had filed for divorce on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old superstar took to Instagram and told her fans that she is planning to buy a horse.
Sharing a photo of herself sporting a yellow bikini while riding a horse, she wrote: “Buying a horse soon!!! So many options it’s kinda hard !!! A horse called Sophie and another called Roar???”
Spears added: “I can’t make up my mind!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar.”
This comes only hours after the singer was photographed without her wedding ring after it was reported that she and the dancer had split after only 14 months of marriage.
Court documents reveal that Asghari is asking Spears for spousal support as well as to cover his legal fees.
It has been previously reported that the couple have an ‘iron clad’ prenup to protect Spears’ premarital assets but Asghari’s lawyer Neal Hersh insisted that things will still be determined.
“(Sam) has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party,” Hersh said.
“There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time.”
A source also said that it is more likely that the singer “will write a check to Sam and that will be the end of it.”
However, it has been claimed that Asghari is threatening to release ‘extraordinarily embarrassing’ information about Spears if she does not agree to renegotiate the terms.
