Parents are causing a stir online after a new debate arose regarding taking permission from babies for diaper changes.
The news began to arrive after an expert called the act of taking consent for such behavior quintessential. And many parents were just dumbfounded as to what in the world was going on.
The expert added how the concept of consent in our culture is so rarely found. But that shouldn’t be the case. In reality, consent should always be required for everything. And only when a child starts young do such habits get instilled.
And while the concept does sound appreciable, people were dumbfounded as to how anyone could think of employing this on young children. After all, babies cannot speak, so how are they ever supposed to give consent about their diapers and anyone touching them?
Parenting can really be a tough venture and through all the loves and laughs there is a huge mountain of dirty diapers that you’ve got to overcome as well.
But keeping that aside, the thought of taking consent from your little one has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
Deanne Carson who is said to be a self-proclaimed speaker and author and sexuality doctor is really causing a stir online with her thoughts on consent starting from infancy.
What was even more shocking is how she is the one who tends to engage in concepts linked to consent from kids who are as young as three. But she feels the time has arrived to start even earlier than this!
“How can you even think of asking for permission from a baby who has no idea about what’s going on?”- asked one netizen and just like that, people couldn’t agree more. They slammed her for being ridiculous about the subject and felt she needed a reality check. What do you think?
