One woman is getting praised by the masses for adopting a child in foster care that happened to belong to her own husband’s former wife.
While the thought of any wife adopting a child of her man’s former lover is rare, this seems to be the perfect example of how heartwarming some people can be and that’s why she’s getting plenty of praise for the kind gesture.
The 48-year-old Ohio native named Christie Werts mentioned how she met her man a few years back and opted to take the bold decision to blend their families as one. This includes Christie’s kids, Megan and Vance, and their two kids as well.
But after hearing about his former wife’s children, there was no way that she was going to leave them. And that’s especially true after she found out that their mother had died after a long battle with substance abuse.
As one can imagine, this was a huge decision. After all, it’s not often that we see people welcoming a new child into this world. Now, Christie says she’s gone forward to adopt the son named Levi and vows to raise him as one of her own.
The news has people at a complete standstill. No one would have ever imagined all of this.
She has completed all the paperwork necessary to adopt Levi and will raise him as her own child. The family is functioning as one big unit and it’s just heartwarming to see how well they get along, sources have added.
“When I heard about him and how he was raised in foster care, I just could not see this happening anymore”- she continued. And that’s when they made the final call to take him in and promise to love and look after him just like their own blood.
