A young woman from Texas says she’s living a surreal moment after graduating with her own parents.
The student says nothing can be better than sharing the stage with your mom and dad during the graduation ceremony and for her, it’s like living a dream.
Just the thought of graduating with people like your friends is an absolute dream but have you ever wondered what it feels like to graduate with your parents by your side?
This young woman shared the reality of her situation and how strongly she felt about having those that raised her to go to college with her. “It’s like I am living a dream”- she continued.
This incident is not only rare but very historic, sources confirmed. And it’s going down in the records of Lutheran University as the first time that a student shared the stage with her own parents to get awarded a notable degree.
Referring to it as a moment of surrealism, she added how her parents never got the chance to complete their education but she was determined to make sure it happened for them. After all, it’s the least she could do after all the sacrifices they made for her.
Ashley Adams who happens to be an education major says her parents gave up their studies as they had to focus more on raising a family.
And that just broke her heart not to see them have any graduation. Therefore, she was their motivating drive to get to the end of the road and it finally happened.
