The Duke and Duchess of Sussex planned a date night over the weekend and it sure did manage to make the headlines.
The venue was none other than a recent NBA game featuring the LA Lakers. And the royal duo seemed to be getting too close for comfort as all eyes were on them while seated front row.
The couple was pictured getting really close and cheering for their favorite team. But a point came where they were just so close to each other. They had plenty of kissing moments that were televised and people felt it was not right to be in each other’s faces when they knew they were being filmed on national television.
But some found it a cute and intimate moment of PDA by the royals a rare sighting so they were taking it on positively.
The incident comes just a few weeks before the King’s high-profile coronation event. Prince Harry is all set to attend the ceremony amid all the drama taking place. But his wife Meghan Markle will not make her way to the grand event as she would be staying back in Los Angeles as it’s little Archie’s birthday weekend.
This particular date night was held at the Crypto.com Arena on Monday. And it’s not quite often you see the royal duo heading to an NBA Lakers game.
They were constantly in the spotlight, being shown several times on the overhead jumbotron. And that is what made netizens upset because it was almost as if they did it for attention.
But as can be seen in the newly released footage by the NBA regarding the game, they were happily smiling as crowds cheered and nearly 20,000 fans in the stadium applauded them.
Other notable personalities who showed up as audience members included Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Saint West, and Adam Sandler.
