Actor Jude Law is making some striking confessions about his role in the latest Henry VIII film and to what extent the celeb went when preparing for the role.
The star says he donned perfume of the worst kind to help get into the role. And if that meant smelling like blood and fecal matter then so be it.
Actor Jude Law says that to really get into a character’s mind and body, he wanted to feel like them. And if that meant looking and smelling like him, then so be it.
“I was embodying something that no one could ever do. It was just remarkable when you come to think of this. I had the guts to do what very few people could and I was proud of myself”- the star continued.
He gave full credit to the maker of the unique concoction who seemed to take her job very seriously. She combined hidden notes of puss, blood, fecal matter, and even sweat to give it that distinct rotten smell.
The star added how people on set could not even begin to imagine him coming close to him, adding how they proudly confirmed that he smelled awful.
For a while now, the star has been making headlines about how strongly he took on the role and how he read about the character for days.
“I wanted it to be so real and to make me prepare for the role, I did this. Henry smelled so rotten that you could discover his scent from three rooms away. I had to do this brave task!”- Jude Law added.
The event dates back to when King Henry was suffering from a really bad injury of ulcers which quickly became infected and rotten and could be smelled from a far distance. “It was a great commitment I made, I really do work hard”- the star concluded.
