Terrifying reports are speaking about a gun-related incident involving two minors.
According to shocking reports from local media outlets, a six-year-old child ended up firing at his one-year-old brother twice.
The number of gun violence-related incidents in the city is spiking up in figures as we speak. The country has been the center of attention for so many lawmakers who claim it’s about time that someone did something before it was too late.
And seeing young kids shoot each other with firearms found in their own house without the parents having a clue is just beyond baffling, mentioned one person.
The horrifying incident took place last night on the East Side of Detroit. The suspected shooter and victim were said to be brothers and hence belonged to the same family.
It was also unveiled how the victim was struck with the gun not once but twice. Thankfully, he miraculously survived but did sustain dangerous injuries.
The police chief of the area has since then provided a briefing of what exactly went on that night. He says the boys found the loaded weapon that was semi-automatic at their home.
It was unsecured and that made it so simple for them to pick it up and leave the home, without anyone noticing. But a huge question was raised on the kids’ parents and how they were not aware of what was taking place at their own homes.
On that note, investigations into the case revealed how the mother happened to be down the road. Meanwhile, the father was stated to be outside in the garden, watering the plants.
The boys managed to travel a few miles before they ended up firing those shots, causing an emergency situation and the victim being rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
