Priyanka Chopra stunned her fans and followers during a recent candid interview where the stellar celeb opened up like never before seen.
She spoke about how she had encountered plenty of strange incidents in her life during her acting career but there was one that just happened to take the cake. And this was one of those.
The actress explained how she had to undergo a very bad and dehumanizing moment in her lifetime. This included a director asking her to strip down to her undies, just because they wanted to see how she appeared in them.
That was certainly not happening and Chopra says she not only refused to entertain him but even opted to walk off-set and quit the entire film.
Priyanka says she’s been asked to do a lot of things but this is just one request that she found to be so degrading and there was no way she would be heading in this direction.
The actress mentioned how the tone of the director and his voice still haunts her today and she just stormed off the set because it was disgusting from her point of view.
The 40-year-old says that although the incident dates back a good 20 years back, it’s still very fresh in her mind as if it took place yesterday.
“Yes I recall it, in fact, it’s not something that any woman can ever forget. It was shameful and he kept on insisting that I do it because it’s a part of the job”- she further revealed.
Priyanka says her point of going public with this news now is so other new actors don’t ever need to feel pressured into doing something that they are uncomfortable with or actions that are just uncalled for.
“It’s your life and it’s up to you how you choose to tackle things on a daily basis”- the actress concluded.
