Anna Nicole Smith’s teenage daughter has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her late mom at Kentucky Derby.
Dannielynn Birkhead, the only child of Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith, attended this year’s event with her dad.
The duo were beaming as they took part in this year’s events.
The 16-year-old took to Instagram and shared photos from the event, which marked the 149th annual Kentucky Derby.
She could be seen sporting a flowery dress while enjoying the event with Bon Jovy guitarist Richie Sambora.
One person commented: “God she’s so beautiful! She is a splitting image of her mom! God bless you both! Well done, dad!”
Another wrote: “My Lawd, she is beautiful like her mom!! Identical! Thank you dad for being there for her always! You rock.”
In another post, Dannielynn could be seen smiling with her dad as they got ready for the event.
“Barnstable-Gala pre-party pics. Can’t believe Dannielynn is almost 17. Time for a great Derby weekend,” the proud dad captioned his post.
Fans were moved by the teen’s outfit, which featured a collage of white and black images of her late mother.
People also noticed that Larry’s tie had the same design.
One fan wrote: “What a beautiful tribute to Anna Nicole.”
Another wrote: “I can’t even handle it. So bittersweet seeing her sweet face.”
A third said: “Dannielynn is the image of her beautiful mom.”
Many fans also praised Larry’s parenting skills, with one writing: “Both gorg. Love the matching tie and shirt. You are a great daddy. Keep up the good work.”
Last year, Larry shared their photo to mark the fifteenth death anniversary of the model, who passed away in 2007.
“Still remembering this one 15 years after her death. She was truly one of a kind. She struggled for love and acceptance,” he said at that time.
“Just when she found a little piece of one or the other, life seemed to sabotage.
“Today, I remember your heart, your soul and your beauty, both inside and out.
“Your love is alive still to this day, in the form of a truly one of a kind teenager with her Mom’s smile, beauty and courage.”
