Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s iron-clad prenuptial agreement has emerged and the 29-year-old model is set to miss out on multi-million dollar payments during their divorce.
According to the agreement, Asghari would receive $1 million for every two years that they were married but because the model filed for divorce only 14 months after they tied the knot, he misses out on any money.
But insiders previously told TMZ that Sam could still get a one-off check from Britney to prevent him from going public with ‘embarrassing information’ about the singer.
According to reports, their prenup has an ‘extensive confidentiality clause’ that prohibits Asghari from speaking about his marriage with Spears.
Previous reports stated that he was planning to contest the prenup but he has denied it.
It is claimed that their lawyers will negotiate but it is likely that Spears will give Asghari a check to keep him silent and if he were to violate the agreement, he would have to give the money back.
Asghari’s representative told The Hollywood Reporter: “There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos.”
“However, all these claims are false, and no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her,” they added.
This comes after Asghari broke his silence after reports that he filed for divorce from Spears.
Taking to Instagram, the 29-year-old actor said: “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.
“We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. ‘S**t happens.”
