Jeremy Renner has shared inspiring notes his daughter Ava, 10, leaves all over their home to help him on his road to recovery after his snowplow accident.
The Hawkeye star took to Instagram and shared a video of him working out with dumbbells. But what caught fans eyes were the sweet handwritten notes that his daughter has been leaving for him.
The 52-year-old actor wrote in the caption of his Instagram story post: “My daughter inspires me… What inspires you?”
Renner also posted another photo of a note Ava left him, and it read: “Just keep running. Just keep running!” along with a heart.
Captioning the second photo, Renner wrote: “She leaves me post it notes all over to keep me going!!”
In an interview with People, his sports physician Dr. Christopher Vincent revealed that Renner’s daughter has been his ‘strongest motivator.’
“I’ve seen so many people with injuries way less [severe] than Jeremy had, and they just give up,” the doctor said, adding that Ava is “one of his strongest motivators.”
Vincent went on: “You really reflect on life when something like this happens. It’s like, ‘Okay, what’s important?’”
Renner recently revealed on Jimmel Kimmel Live that he broke more than 35 bones after he was crushed by a 14lb snowplow.
“We kept discovering them (broken bones), because they went from critical order of priority of one of my going to die for them or not? Another break, another break,” he said.
Renner admitted that he ‘got lucky in a lot of ways’ after he survived the accident that left him in critical condition.
“It’s like a giant metal – like cookie roller, right?” he said. “And it just missed every vertebrae, did not hit any organs, membrane did not swell – my eye did pop out, that’s weird. But I got pretty lucky that none of the organs got messed up.”
