Megan Fox has left people baffled after she stated that she ‘carries the weight of men’s sins’ as she opened up about how men’s inappropriate behavior impacted and defined her.
The 37-year-old star is set to release a book of poems titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which is about identity, transgression, and freedom in the hopes that many women can relate to her experiences.
“These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence,” she said of her latest venture.
She went on as per Entertainment News: “I’ve spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins.”
Speaking about the importance of releasing such poems, Megan added: “My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried but not forgotten, in the darkness.”
Even though her statement seemed artistic, many were left baffled about the line ‘carrying the weight of men’s sins,’ with one person commenting: “The heaviness she feels is from her own sins ~ so easy to point fingers.”
But many were quick to jump to Megan’s defense, with one fan saying: “Not one to judge as I’ve never walked a day in her shoes. Most people think they know how they would react to something/an experience when they have no frame of reference. As expected, the harshest critics of women are other women.”
Megan’s book is set to be released on November 7.
