Most of us stand by the motto that says we work to live rather than live to work.
While all jobs are tough in their own way and deserve respect, we can all agree that some are worse than others when it comes to either the complexity of work, the nature of the workplace, or the type of tasks involved.
In the end, we will never agree on what job is the worst and the answer doesn’t really matter. What we want to know is what the worst job YOU ever did is and why you feel this way!
Let us know in the comments section and don’t forget to tell us about your experiences with that particular job you hated so much.
While you’re thinking about your answer, here are some of the responses entrusted to us by our readers.
“I didn’t hate it but I was so so tired of waiting on people. First I did it at a fast food chain then I did it at a fancy restaurant. What I didn’t like about being a waiter was the way some people treated us,” one person said.
“I was in telemarketing for two years before I quit because I couldn’t stand being yelled at and ridiculed every day. Not physically demanding but it drained every ounce of my will to live out of me,” another user explained.
A third recalled: “Worked as a miner abroad for several years. The pay was okay but I could almost never see my family and the work I did was fairly dangerous. Miners are undervalued and often underappreciated!”
Other viewers went on to share their own negative experiences of which most came from job positions like taxi drivers, soldiers, retail sellers, cleaners, construction laborers, firefighters, nurses, and more.
But enough about what others think! Let us know what the worst job you ever did was and why you hated it so much. We’re looking forward to your comments!
