When it comes to the dating lives of his daughter, Sylvester Stallone is quite a protective dad.
The 76-year-old actor, his wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, and three daughters Scarlet, 20, Sistine, 24, and Sophia, 26, all stopped by on the Today show to promote their upcoming reality TV show The Family Stallone.
But it was Sistine who revealed how their dates ‘never speak to them again’ after meeting their ‘scary’ father.
The three girls talked about what it’s like dating when you have a popular Hollywood actor as a dad.
Sistine said dating is ‘difficult’ for her, especially when they meet her father.
“He’s quite intimidating to most, and most of the time when they come over to meet the parents, they don’t necessarily return, simply because he’s just so scary,” she said.
Mom Flavin said that she’s always ‘nice’ when meeting her daughters’ dates but it was not the case with Stallone, who ‘doesn’t say hello’ to her potential love interests.
The Rambo star the explained why he was uneasy when it comes to meeting his children’s dates.
“I don’t trust their intentions. Because I know men,” he said, adding that Scarlet has a ‘nice boyfriend’ whom he likes.
Scarlet nodded and said: “He was great meeting him, and now they’re best friends.”
Stallone also joked that he hoped his daughters would stay single forever.
“I’m hoping they turn out to be spinsters,” he said. “I’m working on that. They stay home forever.”
The devoted dad also shared how he’s told his daughters to be wary of the public eye before the release of their new reality TV show.
“I said, ‘Your quiet time is over, and once you’re exposed out there, it’s out there,’” Stallone said. “You’re going to have people following you home, guys like ‘Hello, how are you?’”
Sistine added: “He’s very concerned about our safety.”
Stallone also has a son named Seargeoh, 44, whom he shares with his ex-wife Sasha Czack. They had another son named Sage, who passed away at the age of 36.
