Anna and Lucy DeCinque, the world’s ‘most identical twins,’ have gained popularity ever since their hit series Extreme Sisters premiered on TLC.
They have been open about their strong and special bond, saying they ‘think (they are) one person.’
But in a recent episode of their show, Lucy asked her dentist to remove her tooth after Anna started experiencing pain with one of her molars.
Talking to her dentist, Lucy said: “If Anna takes out the tooth, I might have to take out my tooth here, a healthy molar.”
But when the dentist refused to remove a healthy tooth, Anna decided to live with the pain as they wanted to stay identical.
“A tooth for a tooth,” they later said, adding: “That’s all we want, (to experience) it together.”
During another confessional, Anna said: “The dentist really wants to take my tooth out. This is going to separate us and not make us the same and I don’t wanna do that.”
The couple then explained their problem to their boyfriend Ben Byrne, who hugged them both after they received the news.
“We’ve had a really tough day,” the twins told him. “You know how I said I was going to the dentist? Yeah, he said it’s not looking too good.”
Ben then asked: “So what are the options?”
“Take it out or antibiotics,” they replied.
Later on, the sisters confirmed that Anna would not have her tooth removed and would just try to ‘live with the pain’ and treat it.
Ben recently proposed to the sisters but they were all left heartbroken upon learning that he can’t marry both of them.
During a different episode, Anna said: “Sharing a boyfriend for us means we get to be together all the time.”
“Having separate boyfriends just didn’t work, they just wanted to separate us,” Lucy added.
